■ Synopsis ■

A quest to save your father whisks you away to the doorstep of Sankiya Inn, the most famous ryokan in the yokai world. There, you broker a deal with the handsome oni owner to work in exchange for room and board, and soon find yourself training under a friendly bakeneko coworker and mingling with otherworldly guests, including a mysterious ronin…

While searching for clues, the four of you uncover startling information about your ancestry… as well as a legendary, terrifying dragon involved in your father's disappearance. Can you and your newfound allies destroy this ancient evil, or will Sankiya meet its end?

Set off on a grand romantic adventure in a world where Japanese folklore comes alive. Pick up the sword to defend your new home and take charge of your destiny!

• Kyo – The Oni Owner
  "I'm running a business here, not a charity. So… What could you possibly offer me that I don't already have?"
  The owner of Sankiya Inn, Kyo is an oni with a short temper and high expectations. Nevertheless, he looks out for his employees and guests alike, and no one can deny he's an excellent host. When the two of you first meet, you butt heads immediately. Busy running his business, Kyo wants nothing to do with your quest to save your father, but you can't help but feel that there's a deeper reason behind his stubborn refusal… Can you break past this oni's icy defenses and warm his heart to your cause?
• Senri – The Spry Bakeneko
  "Lucky for you, you've got a great partner. I'll teach you everything you need to know about working at an inn!"
  Bright and friendly, Senri is one of your coworkers at the ryokan. Although easygoing by nature, he's incredibly hard-working and responsible. Senri's optimism and helping hand always perk you up whenever you feel discouraged. As a hanyo, half-human, half-bakeneko, Senri was subjected to prejudice in his youth until Kyo stood up for him and took him in. Recently, rumors say that hanyo around town have been disappearing… Can you figure out what's going on before it's too late?
• Akira – The Mysterious Ronin
  "Keep your wits about you. After all, I could be merely lulling you into a false sense of security, ready to strike at any moment…"
  Akira is a cool, mysterious guest who has booked an extended stay for reasons unknown. He's well-cultured and perfectly polite, but his enigmatic smile suggests he knows more than he lets on. Every time the two of you speak, Akira is careful to skirt your questions, though his eyes linger on your sword… Who is this man cloaked in shadow, and could he hold the key to saving your father?
